Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008
Evdokia Kadi was chosen as the Cypriot representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. The song selection took place in the form of a national final organized by CyBC. "Femme Fatale" is a traditional Greek Laïkó song with a French title.
==National final==
Composers were allowed to submit their songs until 15 November 2007.〔 Esctoday 〕 Following the deadline, a professional seven-member jury selected 10 songs to compete in the national final on 12 January 2008.〔 Esctoday 〕 The winner of the selection was decided through a mixture of a jury (40%) and a televote (60%). The jury consisted of those who selected the 10 competing songs with the addition of two guest jurors.〔 Esctoday 〕
The National Final took place at RIK's Studio 3 on January 12, 2008. The show was broadcast live on regional and satellite television, as well as online streaming provided by CyBC and the official Eurovision website channel, ESCTV. The final started at 8:15 PM CET, and lasted approximately 2 hours.
